A vision
- ten years in the making - was realized February 24, 2001, with the
inauguration of Marina Los Sueños, the cornerstone of the Los Sueños Resort Community. The long-anticipated celebration was hosted by high
government officials and private investors.
Marina Los Sueños is the first government-sanctioned international marina in Costa
Rica and also functions as an official port of entry to the country.
"Today our marina
makes it possible for boaters from all over the hemisphere to visit
and enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica, its pristine coastlines and
wonderful marine life. We are confident that in a few short years,
Los Sueños Resort and Marina will enjoy international recognition
as a world-class destination," remarked Roister during the ribbon-cutting
ceremony.
Herradura offers a great opportunity, and there is not a month of
the year that we do not catch billfish and a dozen more of other
species.
Best months for fishing sails are usually from December through
July, as marlin fishing peaks during December, January and February.
Inshore fishing with
plentiful roosterfish, dogtooth snapper, yellow fin tuna, sierra,
mackerel and Wahoo alike.
All ground transportation while in Herradura is provided and YES!…
Herradura offers an active nightlife, shopping and the many excellent
restaurants nearby in Jaco Beach.
